Jan/Feb was a very eventful time at the Mirocha house. Miles got hand foot and mouth and was home for a week recovering. Ten of the eleven babies in his infant room contracted this terribly contagious disease. I also ended up getting a case of it (albeit a very, very mild case...but still). Miles transitioned from the infant room to the toddler room and he'll now be sleeping on a cot vs. in a crib. Luckily for him, he's allowed to have a lovey, blanket and paci so he has actually been doing surprisingly really well with this huge transition. His new classroom is in a corner of the building and overlooks the playground and sidewalk so he'll be able to look outside all day long at trucks, cars, puppies and other kids playing outside. Miles has been in to coloring lately. He will point at the dining room table - where his paper and crayons are - and will say "color?" several times a day. At the end of each week we bring his snow gear home from school and leave it by the front door. Often times Miles will walk over to the bag, pull out his snowpants and walk them over to me or Dan for us to put them on him. Once they are on, he will walk back over to the bag and pull out his puffy coat and bring it over and we'll put it on him (even though we're not going outside). Miles continues to say more words and talk more often. He loves reading, tackling Dada and playing with his golf clubs.
